Send it as an invoice and the customer gets a secure Shopify checkout link to pay, and once they pay the draft becomes a real order. Send it as a quotation and it becomes an offer with a valid-until date that the customer reviews before anything is charged. Both use the same templates as the rest of your invoices, so a wholesale quote, the invoice that follows it, and the packing slip all look like they came from the same business.

The Draft Orders view
On the Orders page, one tab switches between Orders and Draft Orders. The draft list shows:

Custom line items, such as services, setup fees, and anything not in your catalogue, are tagged Custom item, and product images appear on every catalogue line.

You can preview or download the PDF of either one without sending anything, which is useful for attaching to your own email thread or printing for a trade show.
Branded documents from quote to delivery
Draft invoices and quotations use the same designs, logo, and colours as your order invoices, receipts, and packing slips. One template library covers the whole sale, from first quote to final packing slip. For B2B customers with Shopify payment terms (for example Net 30), Send Invoice can print the real due date instead of a generic one.
